Hey, I'm Jo

I am a dynamic storyteller with experience creating written work from non-fiction reflection pieces to video game cutscenes and storyboards. I'm particularly interested in inclusion within video game development and heavily focus on women's roles within the industry as both professionals and consumers. My passion lies in the importance of narrative and character design as a successful storytelling method, and my career ambition is to incorporate my writing strengths into a project enjoyed by the gaming community.

A little bit more about me.

I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, and spent most of my childhood camping, fishing, canoeing, and exploring the Land of the Midnight Sun. When I'm not outdoors hiking with my dog, it's easy to find me behind a computer screen - either writing or working through the latest game release.

I'm working on writing a series of children's books with a heavy focus on disability inclusion. I want to create stories accessible to children society considers 'typical' but, perhaps more importantly, to those children who don't fit that mold. They need representation and books they can understand and relate to.
